[TL 4432]. This fine, undeservedly neglected pavement is composed of shaped tiles in four colours, producing patterns of varying complexity, with impressed linear decoration on the yellow tiles. The central portion of the pavement is a large semicircle awkwardly surrounded by a rectangular frame, the deduction being that an originally complete roundel pavement was moved at some time (?1876) from the chancel to the sanctuary. Comparative material suggests a date of first quarter of 14th century. | |||||||
