Notes that documentation of the collection is in process and publishes codes that may represent the excavation of the pipes concerned -- if anyone knows they are asked to come forward. Two pipes in the collection were produced to mark particular events in Newcastle -- the launch of the John Bowes in 1852 and to commemorate Field Marshal Lord Roberts of Kandahar being granted the freedom of the city in 1894. | ||
