Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
This article explores how and why archaeological research and fieldwork in Cornwall has developed in the way that it has over the period 1985 to 2010. The interplay between threats to the archaeological resource, changes to the planning system, availability of public funding, political direction and varying research agendas is complex but the results, in terms of the protection, conservation, management, access to and understanding of the county's archaeological heritage, are impressive. |
