Abstract:
Notes that fieldwork is under way on the Sussex Heritage Coast, between Eastbourne and Seaford, a Voluntary Marine Conservation Area since 1987. It is also reported that the SMR records at least 66 ships wrecked in the area since the mid-seventeenth century and that artefacts recovered by divers and fishermen have included a prehistoric anchor and Roman amphorae.
