Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Explains the cultural virus model for understanding how artefacts, such as megalithic monuments, interact with the societies that use them. Like viruses, artefacts may at times be of benefit to the `host' culture, but they may also be seen as parasitic phenomena which drive society to produce them at great cost to itself. Such `behavior' is thought to be evident from the Neolithic monuments of Wessex. | ||
