Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Certain problems in the application of isotopic and elemental analysis to prehistoric skeletons are emerging because of the interdisciplinary nature of the problem: techniques borrowed from other sciences have been applied to archaeological dietary research in advance of full scientific understanding of those techniques. A more aggressively experimental approach is needed to resolve these problems, eg for the understanding of apatite diagenesis. This work is essential if palaeodietary research is to progress. | ||
