The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Article summarising the findings from the 2002 season of fieldwork at the Roman villa site at Minster on the Isle of Thanet. Work on the main villa house was confined to the re-exposure of the central part of the main range. Elsewhere, excavation revealed a previously unknown building outside the south-western corner of the villa enclosure. Other findings included evidence for a gateway, a large oval shaft, and a complex sequence of other large pits and ditches. The ditches are likely to relate to a more extensive system of fields and enclosures around the villa, whilst the pits were perhaps dug for clay. A great number of finds were recovered during the season, including a large amount of finely painted wall plaster. In addition to the main article, a figure appears on p3 of the Newsletter. LD
