Excavations in 2004 by Canterbury Archaeological Trust on land to the east of Holborough Quarry at Snodland identified the site of a Late Bronze Age settlement. The features and finds are described in detail, with inferred activities at the site including woollen textile manufacture, metal working, the keeping of livestock and the growing of cereals and vegetables. A number of cremation burials were identified to the south and west of the site. LD | ||||||
