The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Excavations in advance of development at a former airfield near Folkestone revealed an extensive prehistoric and Romano-British landscape. The earliest occupation appeared to date from the Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age; the most prominent feature of this date was a large ring ditch. By far the most prevalent period represented, however, was the Late Iron Age to early Romano-British. A series of enclosures and associated structures are believed to have represented a small agrarian settlement occupied continuously for about two hundred years. Given the quantity of cultural material recovered, the lack of round houses is considered a notable feature of the site. It is hoped that post-excavation analysis will allow issues of regionality and cultural changes in south-east England during the later centuries BC to be addressed. LD
