Abstract:		 Article describing the findings of a sixth season of excavations at the site of a large Bronze Age barrow at Ringlemere, near Sandwich, where a gold cup had been found in 2001. During excavation of a further portion of the turf core of the barrow, a very substantial collection of prehistoric pottery and flintwork was recovered. The bulk of the finds appeared to derive from the pre-barrow occupation of the site in the Neolithic; over one hundred cut features relating to this occupation were also recorded. In addition, more than forty Anglo-Saxon burials were excavated. Since annual ploughing continued to erode the site, a seventh and final season of excavation was planned for summer 2006. LD
