Report presenting the results of archaeological recording projects undertaken during drainage works and enhancement at Tavistock town centre on the site of the former Benedictine abbey. A sewer trench cut across the east end of the abbey church, revealed the foundations of a number of walls and three high-status monastic graves, two of which contained chalices and fragments of clothing. The subsequent enhancement scheme works exposed a further wall and a tiled floor, again within the east end of the church. Separately authored contributions include | |||||||||
