Abstract:		 Earthworks in three fields surrounding Dunkeswell Abbey were surveyed in July 2000. The survey established the extent of the surviving earthworks of the abbey fishponds in a field to the west of the abbey church, while also bringing to light evidence of other possible components of a system of fishponds to the northwest of the church. In addition, earthworks created by the rubble spread from the cloisters were surveyed, as was a possible inner precinct boundary. Although the standing remains of the abbey had been previously surveyed, this was the first large-scale earthwork survey of the site.
