The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A report based on initial and follow-up surveys of the site of a medieval chapel which had been noted in nineteenth century antiquarian writings. Generally mentioned in isolation, the chapel is in fact part of a structural complex. Walled enclosures and other building remains are to be found on the promontory, a cross stood nearby and there was also a Christian cemetery. The complex as a whole is thought to date to the twelfth or thirteenth century, with possible features dating from the seventh. Links with St Ebba are difficult to confirm; however the position of the site may indicate early Christian use.
