Abstract:
ST 135726. Documentary research indicated the nature of the 16th century township, which survived until 18th century, and of which some elements can be traced back to 13th. Small excavations revealed boundary changes, while survey located the probable site of a medieval chapel and, within the farmhouse, remains of the medieval tower recorded by Leland.
