Abstract:
Two good and two poor years for aerial photography have provided much new information, principally for the military districts of Wales and the North, but with some civil sites also revealed for the first time or showing greater detail. Summary maps are provided for Scotland (Forth to Dee) and for E Wales and its approaches in Roman times. The great variety of Welsh temporary camps contrasts interestingly with the Scottish series of clearly defined groups. In the chalklands, destruction of sites by ploughing proceeds apace.
