The paper discusses two carved stones depicted on the façade of 56 St Martins in Stamford in a drawing dated 1827, but later moved to different locations when the house was rebuilt in the late-nineteenth century. One plaque bears the initials MP and date 1670, the other bears the Deyncourt armorial shield. | |||
