Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The paper sets out to review the role that geophysical survey has played in the discovery and elucidation of Anglo-Saxon and British archaeological sites since such methods of site investigation first came into use in the 1940s. Such survey has made increasingly significant contributions towards the archaeology of this period. Whilst reference will be made to some of the pioneering applications of geophysical survey on early medieval sites, most of the paper will concentrate upon illustrating more recent results and commenting upon the potential for the future. | ||||
