Abstract:
Seeks to reconstruct from the available evidence the form and decoration of the Jesus chapel built by Abbot Islip at Westminster Abbey. It sets the chapel in the context of Islip's other building projects. In addition, it dates the chapel to between 1524'“26 and 1530 and attributes its design to the king's and the abbey's mason Henry Redman.
