First instalment (see also 95/690) of an article listing all pre-1988 memorial inscriptions at this cemetery apart from those inside the Church of Ireland church which have been published elsewhere. The recording of the twentieth-century inscriptions was prompted by the discovery that eleven gravestones included in an unpublished survey of pre-1900 inscriptions carried out in 1982 were missing by 1989. Published references are also provided for the site's general history and its antiquities, including an early Irish Christian inscription, a high cross, a souterrain, and the foundations of a dry-stone wall. | |||||
