Abstract:		 198 glass beads were found during the 1989-91 excavations at this early Anglo-Saxon cemetery. Inspection using a low-powered microscope should be sufficient to confirm their construction. It is recommended that chemical analysis be carried out on a selection of the beads to give accurate information about the type of glasses used at the site and to place the finds in a wider context.
