Notes evaluation at 'The Druidical Judgement Seat', a D-shaped enclosure on Brackenber Moor, by the Appleby Archaeology Group. The site was revealed to be a Bronze Age settlement - not an Iron Age or Romano-British farmstead as had been previously thought. Also notes excavation of the Kendal Greenside lime kiln, with the aim of conserving and improving access to the kiln for visitors. (PP-B) |
