Abstract:
The Linkardstown group of Late Neolithic pottery from single inhumation mounds includes two hanging bowls, that long known from Drimnagh and another from Cabinteely (Dublin). These suggest Iberian influence, but the Baunogenasraid bowl seems even closer to Iberian models, while a number of related hemispherical vessels from S Wales, Kilkenny etc show local development. It is suggested that the contact with Iberia may have extended to metalworking knowledge too.
