Describes use of portable GRiDPad computer which can be used on site to record survey and finds data which are entered into the computer either by hand using a brass stylus to write directly onto the screen or automatically via a serial port. Has been used on sites in Gloucester and allowed work to progress much faster. Survey plots can be rapidly generated to check their accuracy. MH |
