Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	The discovery in Phocaea (Turkey) of workshops producing Late Roman C ware has confirmed that the material collected on various sites in both West and East emanates from this site, which covers at least 20-30ha. The Western discoveries demonstrate a 5th-6th century maritime trade round the Iberian peninsula to the British Isles. The Phocaean samples have been subjected to XRF analysis.
