Abstract:
SX 583641 etc. Description of a system of linear stone banks known on Dartmoor as "reaves", which enclose large areas of moorland east of Cholwich Town and Trowlesworthy. From their relationship with various archaeological sites and with deposits of blanket bog, it can be demonstrated that they are contemporary with enclosures and hut circles which are assumed to be of late Bronze Age date.
