Abstract:
Excavations have now recovered nearly fifty human skeletons from the site of a pagan Saxon cemetery. Both sexes and children are represented amongst the skeletons, and some grave goods were found. A number of the male burials are thought to have been executed criminals due to the nature of their graves and posture within the grave.
