Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
During the excavation of an Iron Age settlement at Wakerley, Northamptonshire, Roman activity was attested by two inhumation burials, a scatter of small pits and postholes, and a kiln for drying corn. There was also evidence of stone quarrying and iron working. Some 600m to the south west, in Harringworth parish, two superimposed buildings are being excavated. These appear to have been for agricultural use. |
