Abstract:		 A small-scale excavation undertaken in 2001, following evaluation earlier in the same year, identified Mesolithic features and flintwork including evidence for a possible structure. Neolithic/Bronze Age and Roman activity was also represented within the finds assemblages and a single Roman feature identified. A Saxon building associated with late-sixth- to early/mid-seventh-century pottery provides evidence for the Early to Mid-Saxon period. Separately authored contributions include
