Abstract:		 A small-scale excavation was undertaken at the site of the former Tribe's Yard, Bersted Street, Bognor Regis, in 2002 following an evaluation the previous year. Depite heavy modern truncation, a group of features ranging in date from the Middle Saxon (AD 650--750) to later medieval periods were excavated and recorded. The finds assemblages from all represented periods were small and the recovered environmental evidence was limited. However the discovery of rare Middle Saxon material was significant.
