Abstract:		 Reports on the excavation of a tile kiln with an oven built of great brick and great brick voussoirs with unusual, probably unique, oven floor tiles. A thirteenth-century date is suggested, based on both documentary evidence and archaeomagnetic dating. The substantial evidence for the roof tile industry in the Farnham area is considered in some detail. `Farnham Park kiln: archaeomagnetic dating' is discussed by A J Clark (154--5), and The `Fabric' of all the ceramic building materials is described by Robert Foot (158).
