Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Excavations were undertaken during repair work on the Grade I listed Georgian building. Evidence was produced for extensive occupation of the site, starting in the thirteenth century with the construction of a small kiln of uncertain function. In the fourteenth century the site was terraced for buildings, evincing the extension of ribbon development to the west of the town. Finds reports cover a small quantity of pottery and `The iron knives' by John Price (179--80). | ||||||
