Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
A fourteenth-century so-called Green Man ivory knife handle from Perth is discussed in the light of what it can tell of medieval people. It is argued that bringing together explorations of its material, production, function, iconography and cultural tradition give an idea of medieval cognition, focusing on the way elements of seasonal ritual were marked. | ||||||||||
