A discussion of the relief from the Temple of Fortune at Praeneste which depicts a Roman galley with its decks crowded with troops. It is thought ascribable to the Battle of Actium in 31~BC, however, the article favours the theory of Poalino Mingazzini who postulates that the scene represents the disembarkation of the Emperor Claudius in Britain AD~43.
