Abstract:
Archaeological investigations carried out in 2001 revealed late Iron Age/early Roman ditches, pits and postholes cutting a prehistoric soil horizon. The presence of relatively large quantities of cereal grain from the features suggests that agricultural activity occurred nearby. Similar contemporary features have been recorded from neighbouring sites.
