Excavations revealed human presence in the area dating from the Palaeolithic to the present day. The Palaeolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic periods were represented by dispersed flint assemblages. There was extensive evidence for occupation during the Roman, medieval, and post-medieval periods. PP-B
