Abstract: A survey designed to establish density, date and character of prehistoric and RB surface finds in the vicinity of the Pal cave sites. Meso, Neo, and EBA lithic material was found along with a total of forty-nine RB sherds and one possible tile fragment. Comparable RB sites at Markland Grips (promontory fort), Whaley 2 rock shelter, and Camp Hill (all Derbyshire) are also noted.
