Abstract:
Report on an evaluation within the garden at Burbage Hall, 95 and 97 Macclesfield Road, Buxton, in advance of development. The evaluation showed that large areas of the site had been truncated through substantial landscaping, although artefacts were recovered included nineteen pieces of worked flint/chert dating to the Late Mesolithic to Early Neolithic, the remaining artefacts being dated to between the sixteenth and twentieth centuries. No features were identified.
