Abstract:
NU 237171. A somewhat disturbed enclosed cremation cemetery was found to consist of a stone ring infilled with earth and brash containing one double cremation (14C-dated to 15th century bc) accompanied by a Collared Urn, three possible additional cremations and scraps of inhumed skull. The mound's resemblance to a Wessex Culture disc barrow proved only superficial. Whoever disturbed it about 1807 had left an arrangement of three horseshoes and a penny.
