Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Description of sixty-one sestertii and 9 dupondii/asses dating from Vespasian to Marcus Aurelius (AD 180) found with the aid of metal detectors on cultivated land. The coins date from the first and second centuries AD, and were accompanied by evidence of metalworking, the metallurgy of which implied that the coins may have been intended for recycling. The find is compared with other similar hoards from Roman Britain. Includes | ||
