Abstract:		 Gwynedd Archaeological Trust (GAT) was commissioned by Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn to carry out a programme of archaeological evaluation adjacent to two Anglesey churches within about 7 kilometres of each other in north-east Anglesey — St Peter’s Church, Llanbedrgoch and St Iestyn’s Church, Llaniestyn in the community of Llanddona — in advance of the development of proposed new local cemeteries. Significant remains of the early medieval cemeteries lying beyond the boundaries of the existing cemeteries were identified in both instances, which are considered in a broader context.
