Abstract: |
Describes the context of the site and reports the findings from excavation of three trial trenches. Medieval drains and other cut features were identified, and there was evidence of flooding possibly in the thirteenth or fourteenth century. Five appendices comprise a `Context summary' (4pp), a general `Finds report' by Hilary Healey (2pp), an `Environmental assessment' by Helen C M Keeley (1pp), the contents and deposition of `The archive' (1pp), and an extract from PPG 16 -- the Secretary of State's criteria for scheduling -- (1pp). |
