Abstract: |
Reports observations made on the site of a grange of Sempringham Priory. A large medieval ditch was recorded in section and is thought to be part of the moat/field system complex that elsewhere survives as earthworks. A post-medieval pit containing quantities of animal bone was also found. There are four appendices: a `Context summary' (2pp), a brief `Finds report' by Hilary Healey (1pp), an `Animal bone report' by James Rackham (7pp), and information on the content and deposition of `The archive' (1pp). |
