Abstract:
The annual report and accounts of the CBA. Summarises progress with principal activities, which include research, conservation, information, education, the Young Archaeologist's Club, publication, and the British Archaeological Bibliography. Four appendices discuss `The work and membership of Boards and Committees 1993--4' (53--68); `Activities of the Council for Scottish Archaeology, CBA Wales, and English Regional Groups' (79--90); CBA `Representatives' serving on various organisations and committees (91--2); and the CBA's `Strategy 1994--1997' (93--8). The report concludes with texts of papers presented at the Council's fiftieth anniversary Annual General Meeting. These were reminiscences of their respective periods in office by each of the three general secretaries -- Beatrice de Cardi (99--104), Henry Cleere (104--13), and Richard Morris (113--16).
