Detailed catalogue and source-list of human remains of Palaeolithic and Mesolithic date, the British Isles being covered in pp 15-43. For each site the data (ideally amounting to 18 pieces of information) include location, excavator, stratification, associations, results of laboratory analyses, dating and references. Few British Mesolithic sites have any significant human remains. Instances are noted where recent research has demonstrated fraudulent or mistaken datings.
