The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 The study revealed a similar pattern within the development areas, although the archaeological potential of the sites varied. Most of the development areas occupied sites, which lay within an area built up during the 19th century dockyard extensions. The sites, which lay on the lower flanks of Brompton Hill, had suffered significant terracing and development in the 19th century, which would have impacted the historic topography and archaeology. Other areas had the potential to contain significant remains of military or dockyard surfaces. Structures dating from the late 17th century onwards and any such remains were likely to lie close to the present ground surface. [Au(adp)]
