Abstract: |
The Emily Thomas Building was constructed in 1928 in the kitchen yard at Corpus Christi College, and included an extensive coal cellar. The proposed new domestic offices would lie within the footprint of the existing cellar, but their construction may have an impact upon any surviving archaeological deposits. The site had the potential for remains of medieval occupation prior to the college, and lay immediately outside what was thought to be the line of the eastern defences of the Saxon town. [Au] |
