Abstract: |
Trial trenching to evaluate land adjacent to the former Adjutants Press on the corner of Butt Street and St James' Street revealed one inhumation burial, one other archaeological feature and deep deposits of reworked soils. The burial was not fully exposed but was aligned east-west with the head possibly to the west. A date for the burial, in a grave cut from directly beneath the modern building remains and topsoil, could not be established. [Au(adp)] |
