Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment revealed that the site was thought to have a moderate archaeological potential for the early prehistoric periods. The presence of an Iron Age hillfort in the vicinity suggested the potential for that period to be moderate to low. Roman, Anglo-Saxon, early and late medieval and post-medieval periods were also thought to have a moderate to low archaeological potential as the site lay away from the focus of settlement and arable activity.
