Abstract: |
The archaeological watching brief was carried out on the site, located within 100m of prehistoric and medieval remains and within an area known to have contained evidence of Iron Age and Roman salt production. Removal of the topsoil and subsoil and excavations of two test pits revealed a sequence of natural and modern deposits. No evidence of archaeological remains were observed, however, the recording of the natural deposits had added detail to the understanding of the depositional environment in this area. [Au(abr)] |
