Abstract: |
Archaeological desktop research and fieldwork was undertaken. Seven trenches were machine excavated and positioned so as to sample the area as thoroughly as possible and with reference to the desktop assessment. No archaeological features were revealed other than palaeochannels, and artefactual material recovered was limited to two flint flakes. Given the results of the extensive trenchin strategy it was unlikely that any other archaeological remains were present within the study area. [Au(abr)] |
